First of all, these are CD-rips and much better quality than the 320kbps leaks. There are three editions for this single, but between the regular edition and first press limited edition B, all tracks are covered. Tracks only found on LE:B were ripped by sumo_mona. Personally I’m not a fan of all the B-sides however Loveless knocked me over quite literally (ever since the previews came out on Ria's birthday, of all days! XD). Although my favourite is the instrumental, the title track itself is still beautiful. It’s a mid-tempo ballad-style R&B number and absolutely gorgeous with the PV. Loveless was written by Jin Nakamura, who composed EXILE’s Lovers Again (among others) and THSK’s Proud (among others)… so this guy really delivers. The interlacing of the piano and delicate acoustics with the R&B beat works so well and is a recipe for perfection. The instrumental has re-inspired me to play piano again. My friends complained that the song would’ve been better with another singer, and while I agree on some level, I also disagree. It somehow works BECAUSE of Yamapi’s voice, ironically. ^^;; Three years after his first and only solo release, Yamashita Tomohisa returns with a very different and matured second single – it’s not typical Johnny’s Jpop, but the melody and instrumental (of Loveless) is unrivalled. The rest of the tracks don’t really match the single at all, unfortunately. :(

01 Utada - Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence - FYI --> Wins by an epic landslide! XD NO DEBATE IS NEEDED TO SETTLE IF THIS IS MY NUMBER ONE SONG OF 2009. Utada is a genius for sampling Ryuichi Sakamoto's Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence in the song. If by any chance you haven't listened to Utada's FYI, I don't know where you've lived this 2009! XD I must say that deciding on my number 1 song in 2009 was the easiest but settling on the succeeding songs was very hard.
02 Utada - Come Back to Me --> Before we heard FYI, we were teased with this song! SO BEAUTIFUL! I first listened to this song in the office and my officemate and I were intoxicated with it. We were joking that listening to this song makes us want to cheat on someone. LOL! XD
03 2NE1 - Fire --> Fiiiiiiiiiiiiyaaaaaaah~ Hot song! I admit that, at first, I was turned off because Dara's voice was synthesized but I got over it and just enjoyed the song! The instrumental is so awesome, by the way!!! <3 It can stand on its own.
04 Yamashita Tomohisa - Loveless --> WINNER!!! Must listen~ <3 WAH! It's a two consecutive year-win for Yamapi!!! Last year, Yamapi's MOLA placed in my Ranking! ^^ This song's piano instrumental is so beautiful!!! <3 I was already feeling hopeless of my 2009 Ranking but then this song came (November 18, 2009), and it changed 2009 for sure! :D Actually, after this song was released, there were a few other songs that proved to be worthy of a place in my Ranking. haha! Talk about a win from behind!
05 G-Dragon - Heartbreaker, Breathe, and Butterfly --> I couldn't bear separating these three songs so I decided to just give them a tie!!! When I first listened to G-Dragon's Heartbreaker album, it was really Butterfly that pulled me in. Heartbreaker and Breathe were so awesome too but I guess I thought the former is going to be "everyone's favorite" as it's the title track while the latter sounded similar to it. GD's album is my fave Kpop album of 2009!!! Great album overall! <3 Awesome work, GD! One of these days, we'll post an instrumental from his album. I think we've kind of overloaded you with so much YG Music in the past days. hehe! By the way, which instrumental version would you prefer: Heartbreaker, Breathe, Butterfly, or Hello?
06 BoA - UNIVERSE feat. Crystal Kay & VERBAL (m-flo) --> Initially, it was 永遠 (Eien) that I loved but when the full single was released, this song surpassed Eien. I looped it so much on my player. I love you I want you it's borderless~ Ok, I've decided to give Eien and UNIVERSE a tie because Eien also deserves it.
07 Khalil Fong - Nothing's Gonna Change My Love For You --> My fave song off Khalil Fong's Timeless album. <3 This is a bittersweet song for me because it reminds me of something that happened this year. ^^; hehe! Sometimes, I still get sad whenever I listen to this song. The world may change my whole life through but nothing's gonna change my love for you~
08 2PM - All Night Long --> *goes crazy* I LOVE THIS SONG A LOT! <3 It's very Ria-y in so many levels! hehe! This was one of the songs I heard playing in the CD shop that proved to be very influential in making me buy 2PM's 01:59PM album!
09 Kim Tae Woo - Faster --> If my memory serves me right, I got Kim Tae Woo's T-Virus album because I saw it in the Top 3 Bestsellers at Hot Tracks. I was curious. hehe! I didn't preview any of the songs and was very pleased when I got the album and listened to the tracks! Faster stood out! Really love the beats in this one! 사랑비 (Love Rain) was a hit in Korea but it just didn't hook me. :)
10 Brian - 내 여자 (My Girl) --> Better late than never! Brian releases his 2nd solo album Manifold before 2009 goes to a close! :D The intro just pulls you in and you won't be able to let go of the song. The beats are so Ria-y! Great great great song from Brian!!! <3 I love the "내 내 내 여자" in the chorus! haha!
11 Girls' Generation - Gee --> Girls' Generation opened 2009 with this song! I loved it the first time I heard it. It's very addicting and you can't help but play the song in your head. haha! Gee gee gee~
12 AJOO - 재벌 2세 (WEALTHY 2nd GENERATION) --> OK, so where has this boy gone to?!?!?!?! I thought he was going to be active this year because this song wins so much! hehe! The song was quite controversial and the MV made me watch it with my hands in front of my eyes. LOL!!! I hope AJOO makes a comeback in 2010. *crossfingers*
13 BoA - Energetic (Radio Edit) --> I love this song because of the line Watch me do it with no hands~! I'm so amused at it and I can't pinpoint why! XD I was tempted to put Did Ya and I Did It For Love in my Ranking but I decided to just pick one among the three. Actually, those three BoA songs from her US debut album are my fave tracks. ^^
14 Park Jin Young - Come Over --> All the songs in JYP's Sad Freedom album are so good that it was a bit hard to choose which I'd put in my Ranking. I like the "water droplet" sound in this song. haha! I really admire JYP's music-making skills! This makes him go above the other Kpop label CEOs out there.
15 Vanness Wu - KODOKU --> Off his 2nd Japanese single. Vanness pulls off this ballad-y song so well. It's so soothing to the ears. The guitar accompaniment is really nice and the way Vanness sings this song reminds me of Minwoo. :D Hm, actually, I think this song reminds me of something Minwoo-y.
16 Seo In Guk - 달려와 (Run to Me) (Rally Ver. 2) (With Bigtone) --> A very Ria-y song. Seo In Guk is a very Ria-y singer. hahaha!!! XD And I quote Stacey, "This is SO YOUR music! *can't get over how "Ria" his music is* :P" Love it when Stacey is being supportive of my endeavors. LOL!!! XD
17 Lady Collection - 훔쳐보기-슬픈말 (Watch Secretly – Sad End) --> Unexpected as I thought I was only going to hear ballad tracks in Lady Collection's debut mini album. Former YG Family-er Kim Ji Eun's voice stands out! ^^ I think Stacey might like this one because of the piano instrumental.
18 Koda Kumi - JUST THE WAY YOU ARE --> A surprise! I downloaded Koda Kumi's TRICK album because of Stacey's rambling about it and I was surprised that I liked the album! I'm not really a fan of Koda Kumi even though I've posted several of her concert performances before. hehe! I have this image of Koda Kumi in my head that I thought she doesn't do this type of song. hehe!
19 MBLAQ - G.O.O.D Luv --> A few days after this group's debut, I already saw them perform! How lucky! haha! They sang Oh Yeah and G.O.O.D Luv so I was very pleased! I love that this is a happy song! Aside from beat-y songs, I'm also drawn to happy songs. heeeheeee~
20 BEAST - Oasis --> Another very Ria-y song. I think by now, you'd know my type of songs. hehe! ^^ I think the one who sang the first stanza opened this song quite well. His voice "wakes" you up.
EXTRA: JJ Lin - X --> Didn't manage to get in my Ranking but is worth mentioning. :D Stacey's going to purchase JJ Lin's new album, 100 Days, where this song came from, so please just wait for a rip of it.
